- Strong Legs Run: 11/04/2017- Benefiting, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta this is an event you don’t want to miss. This is the race’s 32nd year and consists of a 10K, 5K, 2K Fun Run and Stroller Roll, and Mascot Trot for the younger participants. - Día de los Muertos Festival and Procession en La Buford: 11/04/2017 – The celebration is free and open to the public, and they need your help to support the festivities. Dedicated volunteers will be busy but will have lots of fun in a rewarding and extremely social experience. - Park Pride’s Plaid Palooza: 11/04/2017 – Participate in Plaid Palooza on to positively transform a section of Historic Fourth Ward Park and raise funds for Park Pride’s programs that support communities and parks throughout the entire city. Volunteers will complete this project while wearing a ridiculous amount of plaid, and celebrate our accomplishments with a “plaid-tastic” party following a morning of hard work. Everyone is required to raise a minimum of $150 for this event: Volunteer!
- Teamworks! Kickoff: 11/04/2017 – The TeamWorks! program brings together volunteers through service projects and team building activities to create a unique, team-based service learning program. - The Light Fest: 11/04/2017- The Lights Fest is an experience where thousands of friends and families gather to listen to live music, fill up on food trucks and light up life by sharing personal wishes, dreams and goals. At the perfect moment, everyone ignites their personalized sky lanterns with Tiki torches and lets them take flight. - Westside Volunteer Corps November Day of Service: 11/11/2017- In celebration of our military veterans and active service members, Westside Volunteer Corps and The Mission Continues are joining forces to serve the Historic Westside on Veterans Day. In partnership with Friends of the Park, The Mission Continues’ 1st Platoon is rallying volunteers to serve alongside local veterans to improve and beautify the park adjacent to the English Avenue Campus. All volunteers are invited to wrap up the day with a Veterans Day Cookout to honor the community’s veterans, organized by Friends of Mattie Freeland Park: Volunteer!
- Holiday Lights at Collegetown: 11/12/2017 – Volunteers needed to help install lights on 78 fruit trees throughout the Truly Living Well Farm for their 2nd annual “Light the Farm” Fundraiser on December 9th. Volunteers will string LED lights vertically and attach with zip ties. This opportunity is great for groups as trees will be sectioned in lots of 5-8 trees. Additional farm structures will be draped with lights as identified. All supplies and lights to be used will be labeled accordingly: Volunteer!

- Chose Peace 5K: 11/18/2017 – The Choose Peace 5k supports the Races for Peace organization. Their goals is to raise funds for Races for Peace programs, local charities engaged in promoting peace in accordance with the Races for Peace mission, and organizational operations. Volunteers are needed at their 5K race to help with setup/breakdown, water station, cheering on participants, course monitors, etc. At a time when hate is loud, love cannot be silent. - Atlanta Women’s Build: 09/30-11/18/2017 – The Atlanta Women’s Build (AWB) is a grassroots effort led by individual women who raise funds to sponsor and construct an Atlanta Habitat for Humanity home for a working mother and her family. Over eight weeks, women volunteers work side-by-side with the homebuyer to construct the house, offering a unique opportunity to highlight the ways that Atlanta Habitat empowers women and builds stability in communities.
