  • Deliver meals for Meals on Wheels Atlanta: 7/01/2017 – Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals to senior citizens around ATL. Helping fill one route means at least 5 senior citizens are going to be served : Volunteer!
  • Meal Prep Party with Perfect Love Foundation: 07/02/2017 – Help Perfect Love Foundation prepare portable meals for Atlanta homeless citizens and underserved children and families: Volunteer!

  • Oakland Cemetery Marker Beautification: 07/08/2017- Help keep one of  the oldest historical plots of land in Atlanta beautiful. Volunteers are needed to help clean headstones which includes scrubbing them with water, D2 cleaner, and a brush: Volunteer!
  • Yelp OFF THE GRID Hiker’s Club: 07/09/2017 – Join the group for  a day of fun, food, overlooks and waterfalls in Greenville, SC! Event is free and open to anyone  with an adventurous spirit: Join the fun!
  • Weeds & Wine at City Winery: 07/12/2017 – Come help maintain the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum with Weeds & Wine! Work for a couple of hours and then enjoy some free post-project refreshments at a nearby restaurant: Volunteer!
  • Waiter’s Race: 07/14/2017 – Atlanta will have its first ever Waiters’ Race this year on July 14th, aka French Bastille Day! Come cheer on your favorite waiter or volunteer opportunities are available if you would like to help out: Volunteer!

  • Slide the City: 07/15/2017 – Volunteers will assist with the Slide the City event, a 1,000 foot water slide through the streets of Downtown Atlanta Georgia. A portion of the proceeds will go back to Hands On Atlanta: Volunteer!
  • Atlanta Field Day 2017: 07/15/2017 – Atlanta Field Day is a throw back to grade school, built with adults in mind. They have all the classic events like tug of war, relay races, obstacle courses, etc. – plus some crazy new games. Registration is open if you would like to participate in the festivities.   • Love Your Smile 5K:  07/15/2017 – The inaugural event will be held at Historic Fourth Ward Park.  Proceeds from the race will benefit oral health education and wellness outreach initiatives across the nation. Sign up to run or volunteer to help support this great cause: Volunteer!
  • Pajama Program Reading Party: 07/17/17 – Reading Parties begin with circle time introductions and then volunteers begin reading in pairs (1 child to 1 adult) or small groups. During the Reading Party, the children receive a snack, a new book of their choice, and a new pair of pajamas: Volunteer!
  • Love Atlanta: 07/17-07/22/2017 – This is a week long event filled with tons of volunteer opportunities, serving all areas of needs. The goal of this week is to provide people with opportunities to serve their community and help rise this beautiful city to its potential: Volunteer! 
  • Sort clothes for Shop Refuge: 07/17-07/28/2017 –  Shop Refuge is a curated shopping experience to benefit Refuge Coffee Co. The shopping experience is on 7/29/17, however volunteers are needed beforehand to help sort donated clothes:  Volunteer!
  • Pull for Piedmont Park: 07/19/2017 – Spend your Wednesday evening outdoors and make Piedmont Park a more beautiful place! Volunteers will pitch in to clean up Piedmont Park for a half hour to one hour, and then cool off with some light bites and free drinks from Sprouts Farmers Market: Volunteer!
  • Community Paint Days at Bellwood Boys and Girls Club: 07/20-07/30/2017 – Volunteer opportunities are available to  paint and be part of a community mural process. All ages and skill levels welcome. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun. Painting will take place from approximately 10 am to dusk: Volunteer!
  • Atlanta Ice Cream Festival: 07/22/2017 – A festival dedicated to my all time favorite summer dessert! There’s variety of activities for the whole family that showcases how living a balanced lifestyle can include lots of fun. There’s even an Ice Cream Eating Contest!   • Atlanta Indie Market: 07/22/2017 – Located at the newly completed westside of the Beltline, Atlanta Indie Market (AIM) brings together 100+ of Atlanta’s top independent artists, brands, and shops.   • Soak-N-Splash 5K Race: 07/22/2017 – Every year in Thailand, there is a 2 week long festival called Songkran, where the entire city is turned into days-long water gun fights in the streets! Atlanta is having its on mini-version of this at the Soak-N-Splash 5K Race. There are some volunteer spots available if you need a cool activity to beat the Atlanta heat: Volunteer!
  • Georgia Cares Color Me Free 5K Color Run 2017: 07/22/2017- This is a family friendly event! Volunteers positions include color throwers, cheerleaders, water stations, registration, course assistant, etc: Volunteer!
  • Birthday Pony Party in Cummings, GA: 07/22/2017 – Volunteers are needed with setting up the pavilion, grooming and tacking up horses and cleaning up after the party. All all proceeds benefit Savethehorses: Volunteer!
  • Lake Claire Community Land Trust Community Work Day: 07/23/2017- Come help get the spruced up  for the LCCLT’s annual Jerry Jam, which will take place on 7/29! Work gloves, water, and pizza will be provided: Volunteer!
  • Atlanta Women’s Community Kitchen : 07/24/2017 – Join Free Love Campaign in preparing nutritious meals at the Women’s Community Kitchen. Women’s Community Kitchen is an organization that provides hunger relief and fellowship to low-income and homeless women and children in a safe, nurturing environment: Volunteer!

  • King of Pops’ Christmas in July: 07/25/2015 – King of Pops is having a Christmas in July party on JULY 25! They will be collecting new, unopened TOYS to donate to the youth of Atlanta through Hands on Atlanta. If you donate a toy you will get a FREE pop at the window: RSVP!
  • Concrete Jungle Farm Day: 07/29/2017 – Join Concrete Jungle Saturday morning to lend a hand around Doghead Farm, make new friends and enjoy the great outdoors: Volunteer!
  • Sugar Creek Green Gardens with the Wylde Center: 07/29/2017 – Sugar Creek herb farm and garden in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur offers many unique opportunities for digging in the dirt. Volunteers will do everything from mulching to planting to weeding: Volunteer! 
  • Atlanta Public School Back-to-School Bash: 07/29/2017- The Back-to-School Bash is an event for students and parents to kick off the new school year with everything they need to be ready for Day One including school supplies, educational information and activities.   • Soccer in the Streets ATL Nations Cup: 07/30/2017 – ATL Nations Cup is an adult soccer tournament to raise money for kids in Atlanta. Soccer in the Streets works to level the playing field for many of Atlanta’s inner city kids who lack the basic opportunities in life. They empower young people through soccer and life skills training. Sign up to join a team and play for a good cause or volunteer to help out at the event.   • Generation Hope Project: Generation Hope Project brings together hundreds of volunteers from around the world to share hope with communities across the country through volunteer projects.   • Georgia Alliance to End Homelessness: The Georgia Alliance to End Homelessness is a state-wide network committed to fostering strategic initiatives to build a collaborative response to the needs of homeless persons in Georgia. They are currently seeking volunteers to helping with administrative tasks around the office and assistance in planning future fundraising events: Volunteer!
  • Open Hand Atlanta: Open Hand Atlanta combines home-delivered meals and nutrition education as a means to reinforce the connection between informed food choices and improved quality of life. They have volunteering opportunities for almost everyday of the week, so even the busiest ATLiens can find something here!   • The Bloom Closet: Bloom provides safe shelter and physical, educational and emotional support to children who have been victims of abuse, neglect or other tragic circumstances, in order to strengthen them for the next phase of life. Volunteers are needed to sort and hang clothing as well assist parents and foster children when they shop in the store: Volunteer!
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Volunteer Program: The world’s busiest airports is seeking volunteers for their volunteer program.   • Drawchange:  Drawchange is dedicated to aid global change by supplying the world’s children with empowering art experiences so they can effectively visualize a better life for themselves.
